step 1: Sketch and Fabric review
During this process, we will sit down with the client as they present their collection and ideas. We will go through a detailed conversation of construction, general fit ideas and fabrication.
step 2: Patterning
Once all the details have been flushed out, we will proceed to patterning. We have the option to CAD or hand pattern. CAD is great for tailored pieces while draping and hand patterning will be required for evening wear.
step 3: Muslin Fittings
After the pattern is finished, we will prepare for a muslin fitting. This process is a vital part of development. It helps to eliminate any fit issues and molds the silhouette to the client’s aesthetic.
step 4: Pattern Adjustment & Cutting
Once the muslin has been fitted to the designer’s liking, we adjust the pattern accordingly and lay out for cutting.
step 5: Sewing & Pressing
The final process is the sewing and pressing. After the sewing is done, we press the garment to give it the final touch for completion. The garment done!
